Tell us about a time when you felt out of place.
There are moments in my career as a digital marketer, website developer, system administrator and programmer where I’ve genuinely felt out of place. Yesterday was one of those days. Creativity felt like it had completely left me. I was questioning everything — the mistakes I’d made, the projects I’d built, and whether I should just start over.
That feeling brings with it a strange mix of anxiety and restlessness. I crave an adrenaline rush to snap out of it, but sometimes in that rush, I end up creating even more chaos instead of fixing what went wrong. It’s a humbling reminder that no matter how skilled or experienced you are, you’re still human.
Feeling out of place has taught me something valuable though: creativity isn’t a constant state, it’s a rhythm. The low points push you to reassess, recalibrate, and come back stronger. Those moments of discomfort are often the catalyst for my next breakthrough.
