If you could permanently ban a word from general usage, which one would it be? Why?

If I could permanently ban one word?

“Easy.”

Because nothing we’ve talked about in this space has been easy.

Building Thinkers Arcade? Not easy.
Getting a team? Easy.
Getting a qualified team that shares the vision? Not easy.
Retaining talent? Definitely not easy.
Scaling across Kenya? Not easy.
Leading while exhausted? Not easy.

But people love throwing that word around like success is some shortcut.

Digital marketing isn’t easy.
SEO isn’t easy.
Building systems isn’t easy.
Leadership isn’t easy.
Emotional control isn’t easy.

What it is — is intentional. Strategic. Disciplined. Earned.

The word “easy” makes people underestimate the process.
It makes them think growth is luck.
It makes them think scaling is vibes.

No.

It’s systems.
It’s culture.
It’s late nights fixing what broke.
It’s replacing team members when alignment fails.
It’s training mentees from programs like Generation Kenya and preparing them for real industry pressure.
It’s building structure before expansion.
It’s maturity through friction.

If we banned “easy,” maybe more people would respect the grind behind leadership.

We’re not building something easy.

We’re building something that lasts.

And that requires focus.
